Directions for Presentational Writing: French Assignment
For the Presentational Writing section of the test, you will write an essay in French in response to an assignment.
Read the assignment carefully before you begin to write. Think about how you will organize your essay. You should use your time to plan, write, review, and edit your essay. Your final essay must be typed in the on-screen response box presented with the assignment.
Please note that special characters (such as letters with accents or other diacritical marks) cannot be entered using the keyboard, but are available for insertion in the on-screen response box. To access these characters, click on the
button that appears in the upper left corner of the screen. Using the mouse, double-click on the character you wish to include in your response, or click on the character and then select "Insert." The character will be inserted where the cursor is positioned in the response box.
Your response will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- APPROPRIATENESS: the extent to which the response is an essay written in the candidate's own words, states an opinion on the issue presented in the question, and uses language, style, and sociocultural conventions appropriate for the assignment (task, purpose, audience, and context or situation)
- SUPPORT: the extent to which the response supports and explains the stated opinion with the candidate's own relevant ideas or examples
- ORGANIZATION: the extent to which the response is a well-organized and coherent essay that communicates clear ideas, develops a logical conclusion, and uses cohesive devices to connect sentences
- GRAMMAR: the extent to which the response uses a range of appropriate grammatical constructions, time frames, sentence structures, and mechanics (i.e., spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and diacritical marks)
- VOCABULARY: the extent to which the response uses a range of appropriate vocabulary and academic and/or idiomatic language
Your response will be evaluated on the criteria above, not on the position you take. Your response must be written in your own words.
You may use the erasable notebooklet provided to take notes; however, you will be scored only on the response that you type in the response box for the assignment.

Sans aucun doute, l'enseignement et l'apprentissage en ligne peuvent être utilisés de manière utile et efficace dans les écoles. Il n'y a pas de limite aux informations et aux ressources que je peux trouver en plusieurs langues. Les informations en ligne me permettent de partager des concepts dans différentes langues avec mes élèves. Il rend l'apprentissage accessible à tous les élèves de manière efficace.
En tant qu'enseignant, j'utilise dans mes cours les différentes technologies de l'école. En conséquence, je vois comment la participation des élèves augmente, car ils peuvent partager leur travail avec leurs pairs et garder une trace et enregistrer toutes les modifications pour une utilisation ultérieure. En plus de cela, je peux différencier l'enseignement en fonction des styles d'apprentissage de mes élèves. J'inclus généralement dans mes cours des vidéos en ligne, de la musique ou des blogs que mes élèves aiment explorer individuellement ou en groupe. Souvent, les étudiants apportent de nouvelles ressources à partager avec moi lorsqu'ils aiment le sujet.
J'aime aussi la commodité de donner des quiz en ligne. Cela me permet de fournir un retour d'information immédiat aux étudiants. Je peux trouver tout de suite où il y a des problèmes. Les étudiants en bénéficient car leurs idées fausses sont immédiatement clarifiées.
Comme on l'a vu, les ressources en ligne contribuent à rendre l'éducation plus accessible à tous les élèves et contribuent à leur développement bilingue. Cela préparera également les élèves ayant les compétences numériques nécessaires pour accéder à l'information et l'évaluer à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de l'école.

As a teacher, the writer utilizes various technologies at school. This increases student participation and motivation as the teacher can include online videos and other online tools as well as provide immediate feedback when giving quizzes online.

Je considère que les expériences de vie des élèves peuvent être utilisées pour faciliter l'apprentissage.
En tant qu'étudiant, je me sentais spécial et valorisé lorsque mes enseignants faisaient référence aux événements de ma vie et les utilisaient pour construire de nouveaux apprentissages. Je me souviens de mon sentiment de joie lorsque mes professeurs parlaient de quelque chose de ma propre vie en classe. Mes camarades de classe aimaient aussi quand les discussions en classe incluaient des exemples à leurs expériences de vie. Cela nous a aidés à établir des liens solides qui ont facilité l'apprentissage. Par conséquent, en tant qu'enseignant, j'essaie d'en apprendre davantage sur les origines culturelles et les expériences de mes élèves afin de les utiliser lorsque j'enseigne de nouveaux concepts.
Par exemple, en etudes sociales, j'affiche des cartes murales des pays d'origine de mes élèves. Lorsque les élèves apprennent la géographie des États-Unis et localisent sur la carte les rivières ou les montagnes, je donne l'occasion à mes élèves de partager la géographie de leur pays d'origine/patrimoine en soulignant les caractéristiques naturelles sur la carte murale de leur pays.
